Thank you so much to the owners who attended the meeting last night. Unfortunately we didn’t have a quorum and couldn’t do the AGM but we managed to talk through a lot of really important issues and to get new volunteers to help the board of trustees. Elaine from Trafalgar will send out a new AGM notice soon – please please please could you make sure that, if you can’t attend the meeting, you fill out the proxy and send it to one of the trustees or to Elaine. We know where you live
For now, please could you let me know:
a) whether you have roof leakage problems;
b) whether you have a problem with cellphone reception;
c) whether you’d be interested in pay-as-you-go wifi internet access.
Also, please note that we seem to be having a problem with issues such as overcrowding in some units and that we are going to start instituting fines for tenants’ breaking the rules of the complex. We’d like to ask that owners be vigilant about the caliber of tenants who they choose to tenant their properties, and are investigating ways of vetting and orienting tenants when they come to stay at Elton Place. If you have any ideas, please let us know.
Lastly, we added new volunteers to the maintenance team who will check that their corridor/block is well maintained, cleaned etc by liaising with Marc and the cleaners. Thanks so much to Danielle Franco (8) and Wonga Majola (32) for volunteering! We still need someone for the block to the left of the swimming pool on the far side of the complex. Please let us know if you’d like to volunteer?
Stephen Hersovitz is joining the team to work on security – his position on the board of trustees will be voted on in the AGM – but will start to help immediately on the security features that we discussed at the meeting.
